Well, Chicagolicious has debuted in all its fabulousness, showing AJ Johnson, owner of a popular Chicago hair and make-up salon, and his cast of characters.
Katrell is the hot new make-up artist, Austin is the pretty girl who grew up with five brothers and is just getting used to the high-end fashion side of things (Is she black and white? She’s so pretty and sweet — and didn’t know that red snapper was fish, not steak. But I don’t blame her for not wearing heels that day.)
MaCray is the cute “bird watcher” who is convincing Austin to give a football player whose eye she caught “hungry eyes” — and Valincia is the woman who has helped AJ for 20 years, a woman who loves her “boo?” drink of Champagne and is playing the perfect older woman “Bette Davis in All About Eve” to the younger “flavor of the month” Katrell, as the older woman calls the younger one.
Howard the barber is the flirt who is trying to learn how to dial down his exuding sexuality from a 10 to a 7 to a 5, when appropriate. And what’s that Zen lady’s name living with AJ? She has an interesting, kind of calming voice.
Since I’m from Chicago, it’s cool to see all these places I didn’t know existed in my former hometown. And the view from AJ’s high rise apartment was something else. Don’t think I’d want to live up there.

Next comes a simple and fun ponytail with a great hairspray, and a band that’s not going to pull and break the hair. She hates to see the elastic band, so she takes a piece of the hair to cover the band.
